Speaking
Speaking, or rather, interacting with a live group of people is one thing I do love to do. Suffice to say I am pretty passionate about the topics I get asked to speak on so I’m usually a bit bummed out when it all comes to an end each time. Fortunately with social media many connections are usually made during these interactive sessions – an approach which I am often singing the benefits of.
My topics usually center around where social media meets business meets the power of community. Here are a few of my recent past speaking engagements mixed in with some future ones on the horizon.
Past Speaking Engagements:
PRSA – Understanding Real-time Media
PRSA – Guerilla PR Technology Practices & Working With Social Media
The Canadian Institute Social Media Conference
Word of Mouth Marketing Summit 2008
CCPRF breakfast – Measuring PR and Social Media
NACCM Customers 1st Conference
Marketing Magazine’s Engagement Marketing Conference
CMA Atlantic Marketing Conference

Upcoming Speaking Engagements:
One of the amazing things about conferences is getting together face-to-face with so many online friends. It truly shows the power of social media in creating meaningful and truly rewarding friendships. Here are just a few of the many photos
I’ve also recently tried experimenting with Prezi
Here are some of the upcoming speaking engagements in 2010:

Visibility Marketing Optimization – 05/27/10 – Toronto
Audience Feedback:
Another amazing benefit of connecting via social media is the opportunity to get feedback on how you did as a speaker. Here are a few tweets from my most recent keynote in Toronto. Thank you all for taking the time to share your thoughts.
